This gives me great hope because that means that God is still working on me too. The moment I was saved was a starting point in my Christian walk with the Lord. I didn't instantly have every character trait in perfect order. For those who know me I know that's hard to believe but trust me when I say I am a work in progress. ;)
The Apostle Paul said it this way in his letter to the Philippians, "And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns."
God is still in creation mode within us every day he is doing something new. Don't get discouraged but take heart because God is not finished with you yet. He has not given up on you and you shouldn't give up on yourself either. Trust God to shape you and to mold you into the image of his dear Son, Jesus Christ.

I DO REMEMBER THAT GOD IS ALWAYS WORKING ON ME. AND I DO REMEMBER THAT HE IS WORKING ON OTHERS AND TO REMEMBER NOT TO JUDGE BUT PRAY.

That is good advice Sherry. I too, try to do unto others as I'd have then do unto me. Someone once told me you can either judge others or you can pray for them, but you can't do both. I certainly hope others will choose to pray for me when I mess up rather than judge me. We are all a work in progress.
I think that pastor is right by saying that we all are a work in progress. No one is perfect, we all have to work towards having a good character everyday.
