Wedding memories
All of us have memories of our wedding day. I have already heard some very interesting wedding stories from some of you. I was decked out in all white with my big hair. I was cool! Veronica looked like an angel from heaven as she walked down the aisle to the altar. All I knew was that I was the most fortunate of men. Who could ask for anything more than a god-fearing beautiful woman full of hope for the future. We were and still are madly in love with each other. A torrid love affair! With God's blessing of course.
It's been a wonderful journey of almost 29 years this October. I wouldn't trade these years for anything in the world. If I knew that marriage was this good I would have married sooner.
What about your wedding day memories? Any glitches? Any surprises?
Remembering is one way to keep the fire alive.
Oh, yeah, thats Veronica and me on that photo. Wow would you look at that hair?

Oh my Gosh! I can't believe you guys! What a handsome couple you make. When I first saw the picture I immediately thought the bride could be Noemi...Veronica looks exactly like Noemi 100% and I was taken a back at how much Ester looks like you Pastor. Amin has always said that Noemi looks like her mom and Ester looks like her dad. I can't wait to show him this picture of you guys. I love it and I love your hairdo Pastor...you had the John Travolta Saturday Night Fever look going on. You look like an Italian mobster from the Bronx all decked out, flashy and of course...the hair...watch the hair! :)
Veronica does look like an angel. Just beauitful. Pastor you look like "life is good'!!!
Oh, yes our wedding day very funny memory. One of the things we wanted to do was have communion. As our wedding cermony goes on we play a song then walk over to the communion table. Low and behold no one set it up for us. So, instead of me freaking out (as a perfectionist would). We laughed it off and faked it, we pretended to drink the grape juice, and eat the bread. We had everyone laughing. I LOVED it! I love making people laugh. It was a BIG hit!!!!!!!!!
i remember one glitch. my sad, sad cake. the baker was cleaning up her kitchen when she bumped into my beautiful cake she had just set aside for pick-up. so when my mom went to pick up the cake what she found was birthday cakes from the bakery pieced together and a horrible frosting job! it looked awful! by the time we made it to the reception the cake was leaning to one side! it was sad, but it was good. i love birthday cakes from the bakery! :)
We had Lupe's 5yr old nephew as the ring bearer. Lupe's brother had specifically told him not give the rings to anyone and not to lose them. He took his job very seriously. When the priest asked for the rings...he was so terrified to give them up we almost had to chase him down to get them. Everyone was laughing.

my favorite memory of my wedding was getting to see Sam before the ceremony. He came into the room I was waiting in and immediately started crying (of course). :) It was very sweet and we got a few minutes to talk about how excited we were to be on our fanciest date ever!
Delma doesn't have a computer so I have to call her and read Pastor Dan's blog and ask her whatever questions so she can particpate too. She has been having alot of fun. Here's her answer..it is so FUNNY! I love it!
Sister Delma, Where there any glitches or funny things that happened at your wedding?
Delma - Lands, I can't even remember my wedding...Oh yeah, we lived way out in the country so we had to go into town...the ministers town to get married. We got married in the ministers living room. His wife and a cousin was a witness. That was all nothing exciting at all...Oh, I have something exciting after the wedding ceremony to tell but I don't know if it is proper to say out in the public.
Monica- LOL oh goody, do tell me.
Delma- We went home to Lloyds cousin's house and one of my cousin's was with us too. This was back in the day when there was no electricity. Lloyds cousin built a fire in the living room and put a mattress down on the floor for Lloyd and I. This cousin made the joke...I don't want my mattress all torn up come morning time. The cousins went to bed in the bedroom but they dragged the bed into the hall so the could spy and they snickered and laughed.
Delma said, well Lloyd stayed on his side of the bed and I stayed on mine so I guess nothing too exciting happened for those crazy cousins to carry on about : )
wow Sister Delma!! that's hilarious!! I do hope you got a proper honeymoon time after all that! :)
Thanks for telling your story!
