On the fourth day of creation God creates the Sun, moon and stars.
Some facts about our Sun. Our Sun is considered to be a middle sized, middle aged star. It is about 1 million times larger than our Earth. You could fit 960,000 of our Earths inside the Sun. It is 93 million miles away from Earth so light traveling at 186,000 miles per second takes just eight minutes to arrive on Earth from the Sun. The gravity on the surface of the Sun is best understood when compared to that of Earths. A 160 pound man would weigh 4,480 pounds on the Sun.
When the Psalmist looked up at the sky he couldn't help but break out in praise to God.
Psalm 19:1-3 "The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. They speak without a sound or word; there is no speech or language where their voice is not heard."
Take some time today to thank God for the Sun and for the light and warmth that it gives. Without it we could not survive.

Great picture of the sun. I for sure would never want to step on a scale on the sun. No way,no how!
Lots of new information for me to really grasp and appreciate our sun.
